About this opportunity
Mitacs runs the Globalink Research Internship, a competitive initiative facilitating 12-week research internships in projects hosted by Canadian academic-institution faculty members. Disciplines range from science, engineering and mathematics to the humanities and social sciences. Mitacs states applications are now open for summer 2027, with a deadline of Wednesday 16 September 2026 at 1:00 p.m. Pacific time, and that applications will not be accepted past the deadline.
Responsibilities
- Complete a 12-week research project hosted by a Canadian academic-institution faculty member
- Work within the host research group in your chosen discipline
- Gain hands-on research experience in Canada's research environment
Qualifications and requirements
- Undergraduate student in one of Mitacs' partner countries — check the published partner-country list before applying
- Application submitted before the deadline of 16 September 2026, 1:00 p.m. Pacific time
