About this opportunity
The Paul A. Volcker Government Internship Award provides $3,000 in supplemental funding to eligible students and recent graduates pursuing government internships. The Fall 2026 application cycle is open through September 14, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Secure an eligible internship with a local, state or federal United States government office or agency before applying.
- Complete the official application with applicant information, a résumé, short-answer responses and internship information.
- If selected, sign the award acknowledgement, complete required tax documentation and participate in programme check-ins and an exit survey.
Qualifications and requirements
- Be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate programme as a junior or senior, or have graduated within the last two years.
- Hold an eligible government internship; university and nonprofit internships do not qualify.
- Meet the minimum internship duration: at least 10 hours weekly for 12 weeks in fall or spring, or 15 hours weekly for eight weeks in summer.
