About this opportunity
The SAMRC Postgraduate Research Associate Programme supports eligible South African Master’s and PhD researchers in priority clinical and health-research fields through formal study, collaborative research and mentorship from experienced SAMRC researchers.
Responsibilities
- - Complete an approved Master’s or PhD research project in an SAMRC priority field.
- - Participate in collaborative research and formal postgraduate training.
- - Work with an SAMRC-based supervisor and hosting research unit, centre or platform.
- - Maintain the registration, research approval and ethics requirements stated for the programme.
Qualifications and requirements
- - Be a South African citizen or permanent resident.
- - Be registered or admitted for the applicable full-time postgraduate programme at a South African university.
- - Have an approved research proposal and ethics clearance where required.
- - Secure written hosting commitment and supervisory support from an eligible SAMRC unit, centre or platform.
