takealot.com, South Africa's leading online retailer, is looking for a highly talented Supply chain Intern to join our team in Cape Town Distribution Centre. This is an 18-month contract. Responsibilities
- - Support the development, review, and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process documentation in different Warehouse functions.
- - Contribute in day to day warehouse operations in INBOUND,INVENTORY,OUTBOUND,DISPATCH,PLANNING.
- - Prepare clear reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings, insights, and recommendations to DC operations
- - Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, IT, Facilities, and Health & Safety.
- - Monitor operational performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and assist in identifying improvement opportunities and corrective actions.
- - Participate in problem-solving initiatives by identifying root causes, proposing practical solutions, and supporting implementation.
Qualifications and requirements
- - NCV Certificate/N6 Certificate in Warehousing/ Operations/ Supply chain/Data analytics
- - Computer Literacy
- - Strong Attention to Detail
- - Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- - Time management and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- - MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- - Data interpretation and presentation.
