Job description

About this role

This is judgment-based product sourcing, not basic data entry. The VA must understand how to evaluate profitability, sales velocity, competition, Buy Box behavior, price history, category restrictions, IP risk, and realistic sourcing opportunities before recommending a product. The VA will use SellerAmp (SAS) and Keepa as the primary research tools and document all analysis within a shared Google Sheet. The VA will research and recommend opportunities only; the client retains full control over purchasing and Amazon Seller Central.

Responsibilities

  • Find profitable online arbitrage products for resale on Amazon US
  • Use SellerAmp Advanced Search, reverse sourcing, and storefront sourcing
  • Use Keepa to validate pricing, demand, and Buy Box history
  • Prioritize quality of leads over raw volume
  • Target approximately three fully vetted product opportunities per day once ramped
  • Calculate buy cost, Amazon referral fees, FBA fees, net profit, and ROI
  • Show complete calculations for each recommended product
  • Evaluate whether current margins remain viable at normalized selling prices
  • Calculate projected ROI if price returns to the 90-day average
  • Review sales rank and historical rank trends
  • Assess estimated monthly sales
  • Analyze seller count and recent seller additions
  • Evaluate seller concentration
  • Review Buy Box ownership, stability, and competition
  • Read and interpret 90-day price history
  • Determine whether current pricing is normal or a temporary dip
  • Review Buy Box history and price stability
  • Identify unusual price movement or risk
  • Use historical data to support sourcing recommendations
  • Identify potential intellectual property risk
  • Flag hazmat restrictions
  • Identify category or brand gating
  • Assess whether gated brands are realistically ungateable
  • Flag products with excessive risk before recommendation
  • Log every vetted product into a shared Google Sheet
  • Include complete profit and ROI calculations
  • Include source links
  • Document demand, competition, Buy Box, pricing, and risk findings
  • Clearly explain why a product is or is not recommended

Qualifications and requirements

  • Previous Amazon US online arbitrage sourcing experience required
  • SellerAmp / SAS experience strongly preferred
  • Keepa experience required
  • Strong knowledge of FBA fees, referral fees, net profit, and ROI calculations
  • Experience analyzing Buy Box behavior and seller competition
  • Knowledge of IP risk, hazmat, and category/brand gating
  • Amazon US marketplace experience required
  • Google Sheets proficiency required
  • Strong written English communication
  • Experienced Amazon online arbitrage product sourcer
  • Strong analytical and commercial judgment
  • Comfortable rejecting weak leads rather than prioritizing volume
  • Able to interpret Keepa graphs confidently
  • Strong mathematical accuracy
  • Detail-oriented with disciplined documentation habits
  • Able to work independently from defined sourcing criteria
  • Strong written communicator
