About this role
Datadog's Enterprise Sales Executives target and close new business with the company's largest and most strategic customers and prospects, uncovering the problems organisations face as they migrate to or operate in the cloud at scale. Datadog operates a hybrid workplace.
Responsibilities
- Prospect into large Fortune 1000 companies while running an efficient sales process.
- Maintain, build and own relationship maps for your territory, including existing and aspirational contacts.
- Develop a deep understanding of each customer's business.
- Negotiate pricing and business terms with large commercial enterprises by selling value and return on investment.
- Manage existing customer expectations while expanding reach into the assigned territory.
- Demonstrate resourcefulness when faced with challenges that resist easy solutions.

Qualifications and requirements
- 3+ years of closing experience, with a mix of field selling in mid-market or enterprise.
- A record of meeting or exceeding direct sales goals of $1M+ with an average deal size of $100k+.
- Able to demonstrate a methodology to prospect and build pipeline independently.
- Experience working for an innovative technology company such as SaaS or IT infrastructure.
