About this role
Summary Join The Freelance Firm’s national network as a remote contract IP Paralegal/Docketer supporting client law firms for approximately 10 or more hours per week.
Responsibilities
- - Maintain and monitor patent and trademark prosecution dockets.
- - Calculate, calendar and track USPTO and international filing deadlines.
- - Review correspondence from the USPTO, WIPO, foreign associates and counsel and enter deadlines.
- - Support patent and trademark applications, responses, renewals and maintenance filings.
- - Conduct docket reviews and proactively communicate deadlines to legal teams.
Qualifications and requirements
- - At least five years as an IP paralegal, IP docketer or similar legal professional.
- - Strong patent/trademark docketing and deadline-management experience.
- - Knowledge of USPTO procedures, filing requirements and prosecution timelines.
- - Experience with electronic filing and Alt Legal docketing software.
- - Strong organisation, communication, recordkeeping and independent-work skills.
