About this role
Coinbase is hiring a Senior Staff Software Engineer for Payments. Location as stated by the employer: Remote - Canada. Work arrangement: remote within Canada, with mandatory quarterly in-person surges. Pay: 260,100 annual base, excluding equity and bonus. Work type: Full time.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the multi-quarter technical strategy for Payments, spanning rails, orchestration and transfers
- Architect and evolve the core Payments platform, including rails integrations and routing
Qualifications and requirements
- 10+ years building and operating large-scale distributed systems in production
- Deep money-movement architecture experience across PSPs, ISO 20022, routing, double-entry and high-volume payment systems
