About this role
Mozilla Corporation is the non-profit-backed technology company behind Firefox, used by more than 225 million people each month. This Release Engineering role builds and maintains the systems that build, test and release Firefox, and is remote within the UK.
Responsibilities
- Write software that scales — tens of thousands of tasks run to build, test and release Firefox every day.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to improve the developer experience, then implement the improvements.
- Work with a geographically distributed team across North America and Europe.
- Collaborate through requesting and providing code reviews.
- Respond to critical service outages during normal working hours; no on-call rotation is required.

Qualifications and requirements
- A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related programme, or equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in an object-oriented programming language, preferably Python.
- A passion for CI/CD pipelines.
- Some previous experience using cloud resources on AWS, GCP or Azure.
- Comfortable developing in Windows, macOS and Linux environments, with shell scripting experience.
- Experience working on a team distributed across time zones.
