About this opportunity

As an Account Technology Strategist (ATS) Intern, you will provide technology guidance to customers and help orchestrate collaboration between customers and Microsoft teams to drive digital transformation. You will work with business and technology decision-makers to understand business challenges, identify opportunities, and map Microsoft solutions to customer priorities. The Microsoft South Africa BBBEE Internship Programme offers talented graduates the opportunity to gain hands-on experience, develop professional and technical skills, and receive mentorship while working on meaningful projects.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Account Teams to understand customer business priorities and technology challenges.
  • Support technology discussions with customers and help position Microsoft solutions that drive business value.
  • Research customer industries, market trends, and digital transformation opportunities.
  • Assist in developing customer technology roadmaps, presentations, and solution recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, solution architects, technical specialists, and customer success teams.
  • Contribute to account planning activities and help identify opportunities for customer growth and innovation.
  • Learn how Microsoft Azure, Security, Modern Work, Business Applications, and AI solutions enable customer transformation.

Qualifications and requirements

  • Applicants must be South African citizens and meet the eligibility requirements of the Microsoft South Africa BBBEE Internship Programme.
  • Currently pursuing (final year with no more than 6 months remaining) or have completed a Bachelor's degree in the last 6 months in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Passion for technology, innovation, and customer engagement.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
