About this role
Deel is hiring a full-time Database Administrator to support reliable production database operations across its global infrastructure. The role partners with developers on database design, reviews database-related code, monitors health and performance, and improves the resilience and efficiency of PostgreSQL and Oracle environments.
Responsibilities
- - Support and guide developers on database related development and design best practices
- - Review and approve database-related code written by developers
- - Monitor database health and performance metrics
- - Support live incidents and respond to alerts (errors, locks, deadlocks, availability etc.)
Qualifications and requirements
- - 3+ years administering production PostgreSQL databases
- - 3+ years administering production Oracle databases
- - Proficient in reading and writing SQL queries including window functions
- - Proficient in DB programming - creating triggers, functions etc.
