About this role
The Senior Support Engineer helps GitLab customers resolve complex technical problems across self-managed and hosted deployments. This remote role is limited to South Korea and combines Linux troubleshooting, customer escalation, engineering collaboration and reusable support improvements.
Responsibilities
- - Lead resolution of complex customer cases through tickets, code changes, email and video.
- - Mentor teammates on troubleshooting and customer communication.
- - Improve support practices, product quality and reusable documentation.
- - Work with product, engineering, infrastructure, success and sales teams on fixes and priorities.
- - Join weekday and weekend daytime on-call rotations.
- - Coordinate incident communication for urgent production issues.
- - Participate in application review, assessment and interviews.
Qualifications and requirements
- - Experience owning complex customer-facing technical cases end to end.
- - Strong Linux administration, scripting, Git and continuous-delivery skills.
- - Ability to investigate infrastructure and application problems.
- - Experience mentoring teammates through complex cases.
- - Cross-functional collaboration with product, engineering and sales teams.
- - Familiarity with DevOps technologies such as Kubernetes or serverless computing.
- - Fluent Korean language skills.
