About this role
Welocalize is seeking a Finnish sports localization specialist to review and adapt football content for the Finnish market. The project combines localization, fact checking, translation and editorial quality control for English (US) to Finnish (Finland) content.
Responsibilities
- Review, localize, fact check, translate and adapt football-related content while following writing guidelines.
- Research local terminology, market trends and localization practices for Finnish audiences.
- Provide editorial feedback on written content.
Qualifications and requirements
- Native-level Finnish plus excellent grammar, writing, proofreading and editing skills.
- BS/BA and/or at least two years of relevant linguistic, sports journalism, copywriting or copy-editing experience.
- Strong football knowledge and experience with translation or localization of multimedia content.
- Ability to work independently and remotely, with practical computer, mobile-device, word-processing and spreadsheet skills.
