About this role
The Shopify E-Commerce Specialist will own the day-to-day performance and optimization of the company’s Shopify Plus storefront, ensuring the site is fast, conversion-focused, accurately merchandised, and positioned to scale efficiently. This is a hands-on individual contributor role with no direct reports. The person working in this role will support the launch of the Shopify Plus store and take ownership of conversion rate optimization, merchandising, product pages, email and SMS capture, digital asset management, SEO, analytics, and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Support the launch and ongoing management of the Shopify Plus storefront.
- Own storefront performance, including page speed, Core Web Vitals, checkout flow, and mobile experience.
- Establish baseline conversion metrics following launch and continuously improve performance through structured testing.
- Develop and maintain a regular conversion rate optimization and testing cadence.
- Identify friction throughout the customer journey and implement improvements designed to increase conversion.
- Ensure the storefront delivers a polished experience appropriate for high-value, considered purchases.
- Own collection structure, product sequencing, cross-selling opportunities, and overall digital merchandising.
- Manage the customer experience within product configurators and ring-building functionality.
- Optimize how customers navigate made-to-order, configurable, and custom products.
- Determine product presentation and sequencing based on customer behavior, merchandising priorities, and performance data.
- Maintain an intuitive shopping experience across a complex product catalog.
- Upload, maintain, and optimize product detail pages across a catalog of more than 390 SKUs.
Qualifications and requirements
- 5+ years of DTC e-commerce experience, including direct ownership of a Shopify Plus storefront.
- Proven experience managing high-AOV or considered-purchase products with longer customer consideration cycles.
- Experience supporting products involving financing, sizing, configuration, customization, or similarly complex purchase decisions.
- Demonstrated experience with conversion rate optimization and structured experimentation, ideally with measurable results.
- Hands-on experience with Klaviyo and Attentive.
- Experience implementing and optimizing at least one BNPL solution, such as Klarna, Affirm, Afterpay, or Shop Pay Installments.
- Experience managing complex product catalogs and e-commerce merchandising.
- Luxury or premium consumer brand experience is highly preferred.
- Fine jewelry, bridal, watches, premium furniture, luxury goods, or other high-value product experience is highly preferred.
- Experience with product configurators or made-to-order products is highly preferred.
- Strong Shopify Plus storefront management and optimization capabilities.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce conversion rate optimization, customer journeys, checkout optimization, and mobile commerce.
